So Dave commented on my comment on Paul's Facebook and he is right that is what Uncles are for... and if you have any better luck God bless you.

All of us (yep me and John to... though I had to twist John's arm a pinch lol) are in support of Paul and his hopefully pending mission. But have since decided that it is in his hands now to choose when to get the ball rolling. To force his hand is not to get a missionary that works with the Lord to brings members into the fold.

My comment was related to how Paul felt and reacted to Jerry's comment to Paul when they came up before the family reunion. It was something along the lines of 'you better get off your ass/butt and get your papers in' (second hand heard this so if it is wrong oh well). And this lead Paul to deiced for the better park of the days leading up to the reunion to say that he was not going to go because he did not want everyone to press him more on the timing and details of his choice surrounding the mission.

This kinda stand-off-ish Paul is the reasons we have stepped back and let him have his room and told him it is now all up to him but he needs to decided if it is this fall or if it is back to school for a lil bit more and then if he wants to go (as he has said he wants to go but doesn't feel totally ready).

So yeah I can't tell yeah much more because there isn't any more to add.



He has been spending a ton of time with his friends and Rach and taking tons of pics so he can have a photo book full of pics of his friends and family and extended family to take with him when he goes.

If you would like to send a pic of yourself, your family, pics of you with Paul or such to him so he can add it to his photo book that he plans to take on his mission please send them to him at his e-mail mankatbaca@yahoo.com or paulshaggerty@gmail.com that would be a nice surprise for him and would be a super way to let him know that you support him and care and so on.

It took 14 hours all told and we had to drive back from Southern Idaho in that bad storm that hit lower Idaho and Northern Utah. It fallowed us all the way back into and past Tremont.

Anyway our next trip is already in the work and will be longer and much more fun, not like we lacked fun as you can see in this trip but it was full of learning points and wrong turns (maps can be just as bad in making you lost as anything else lol).

Well I'll try and get someone other then me to make another post in this poor journal if I can. More pictures in the coming weeks!

So onto the birthday girl!!!

Rachel turned 13 on the 11th (Friday)!! She enjoyed shopping today with mother. She bought two shirts from Walmart that are cute. I'll try and get pics of them up as soon as I can. One has a thing about drama on it so being our families little actress she loves it!

She says thanks to Gran and Gramps (Dixie and Jerry) for the card and money. (It came on Wednesday ^_^)

She had a great meal cooked by mother and a nice pudding cake and mint ice cream form afterwards.

Yesterday John, Paul and myself took Rachel out on the town and ended up Sugarhouse park for some pizza from "5 buck" and ice cream cake, mint and chocolate of course. There she and Paul had fun playing and throwing around ice that was left over from the cooler that had the cake in it.

She got a mini build-a-bear tabby cat to go with the one she got for Christmas. She also got a cute bunny pillow. John brought her the cat and I got her the pillow.

Other then that I'll let her add it in the next LJ post herself.

She also wants to thank Spencer for calling her and wishing her the best on her birthday. She says that she is sorry that she missed it, but she was out spending her birthday money with mom when he called.
