So Dave commented on my comment on Paul's Facebook and he is right that is what Uncles are for... and if you have any better luck God bless you.

All of us (yep me and John to... though I had to twist John's arm a pinch lol) are in support of Paul and his hopefully pending mission. But have since decided that it is in his hands now to choose when to get the ball rolling. To force his hand is not to get a missionary that works with the Lord to brings members into the fold.

My comment was related to how Paul felt and reacted to Jerry's comment to Paul when they came up before the family reunion. It was something along the lines of 'you better get off your ass/butt and get your papers in' (second hand heard this so if it is wrong oh well). And this lead Paul to deiced for the better park of the days leading up to the reunion to say that he was not going to go because he did not want everyone to press him more on the timing and details of his choice surrounding the mission.

This kinda stand-off-ish Paul is the reasons we have stepped back and let him have his room and told him it is now all up to him but he needs to decided if it is this fall or if it is back to school for a lil bit more and then if he wants to go (as he has said he wants to go but doesn't feel totally ready).

So yeah I can't tell yeah much more because there isn't any more to add.



He has been spending a ton of time with his friends and Rach and taking tons of pics so he can have a photo book full of pics of his friends and family and extended family to take with him when he goes.

If you would like to send a pic of yourself, your family, pics of you with Paul or such to him so he can add it to his photo book that he plans to take on his mission please send them to him at his e-mail mankatbaca@yahoo.com or paulshaggerty@gmail.com that would be a nice surprise for him and would be a super way to let him know that you support him and care and so on.

So long time no post *chuckle* so this time we have another trip post. All us kids got time off from work and school (except Rachel Shhh ^_^) and took a two day trip to Wyoming! Lots of fun was had BUT like they say a picture is worth a thousand words so onto the slide show!

So John, Paul and I took a road trip up to Idaho a few months back and I just thought that I would add it to the family journal as it has some neat photos.

Days off from school and work with a tiny bit of money = ROAD TRIP!

It took 14 hours all told and we had to drive back from Southern Idaho in that bad storm that hit lower Idaho and Northern Utah. It fallowed us all the way back into and past Tremont.

Anyway our next trip is already in the work and will be longer and much more fun, not like we lacked fun as you can see in this trip but it was full of learning points and wrong turns (maps can be just as bad in making you lost as anything else lol).

Well I'll try and get someone other then me to make another post in this poor journal if I can. More pictures in the coming weeks!

Tonight after I had dinner I decided I am really tired, lol, and in about four or five hours it will be time to get up again. Oh, and I also saw the season premier of Prison Break today.

Here is John's new car. He took back the Lincon a while ago because it started to have problems dieing and stalling. So he got this 2003 Buick afterwards.

This car is great in every way! *laughs* Except the color.

So I think that the first ever post in our LiveJournal Come_clan_come was on Rachel's 13th birthday so that makes this at least one year for it as well!

So onto the birthday!

Rachel had a nice small birthday and here are some of the pics from it!








So other then that nothing new or of much interest that I can really tell you here. I'll have to get Paul and Rachel talk about their trips to the Manti pageant and the other one that they went to this week. Also now both Rachel (in 9th grade and 14 years old) and Paul (12 grade Sr. and 17 years old) are in high school at West! Wow time flies!

So a quick update (...again).
Rachel had a great play a little bit ago. You that went know what I'm talking about.

If I get some time and a smig of free money then I might scan if the pics Dixie took at the play. I will have to ask Rachel. And I'll try and get her to blog about the play as well.

Rachel is well into the next play that her class is working on... Rachel is less then thrilled on the particular one that they are reading in class but she and her friends keep poking fun at it and that keeps them laughing.


Paul has 'belted' in Tae Kwon Do several times and really and I mean REALLY loves it. John T. said that he will pay for Paul to take it during the summer so he seems happy about that.

John T. got his own car this last week. It is a '89 Lincoln Continental. A damn nice car that purrs like a cat. He loves it and is happy to have it. And by now most of you might know that mother has her own Silverado that is her baby... Paul wants to drive it but I just think it is to much car for him lol.

For the last two Saturdays Paul has been helping out at the church clean ups... weird but he likes it... okay whatever but it makes him happy. He is getting up and doing it again at 9am this morning.

Other things about Paul... hmmmmm...
He has started a character on "World of Warcraft" (WOW to most) on the Horde side if anyone of the cuzes wants a WOW buddy to do runs with. He is a noob still but working his way up fast. Also Paul has taken a shine to the "The Sundering" books. And is now on book two. Other then that Paul is getting to the age that his Misson is looming and yet he feels great about it and is looking forward to it. He also has taken a shine to his ASL (American Sign Language) class and love to sign to everyone.

Mother's knee is coming around from the bad sprain that it had. Not much on that but that it is not getting worse and she is getting out on it more to strengthen it.

Dad is doing well and has several prospects that are looming at the end of the month and one for sure. So things are looking up all around.

So yeah this experiment almost fell by the wayside this year but here we go again with an (unread by everyone but you can't blame me for not keeping you updated...) update on clan Haggerty! WOOT!

So year wrap up in the least amount of words I can get it in ...in. Think of this as an eclectic family Christmas letter of sorts.

So of the stuff that was not covered by other post in this journal we have:

Rachel:
She has another role in another play at Northwest. Yuppers she is happy as she has a great role and almost got the lead role this time (missed it by one or two). She also got her upper tooth pulled to let her adult tooth grow in... and just now she has two more holes in her mouth form loosing two teeth.

Paul:
He baptized a convert in our ward. He took this very seriously. He had his four wisdom teeth out just before Christmas. he passed the UBSCT (Utah Basic Skills and Compency Test ...that all have to pass to get their Diploma in Utah) so he doesn't have to take it his last year.

John T.:
He got a raise and is moving up in his company.

Mother:
She got off the air and is doing semi regular exercises.

Dad:
He has been offered a higher postion in our local ward and has been expanding his computer skills.



More has happen but I'll leave that for each person to fill in. So these are just bites that came to my mind.

Here is to a clean slate and a new year to fill with memories!
